A probable medieval forgery: a gilded silver copy of a gold quarter noble probably of Henry VI, 1st reign (1422 - 1461), possibly Leaf - Mascle issue (1434 - 1435). The coin is badly double struck on the reverse and patches of a darker metal are showing through where the gilding has worn away from the tops of the letters. The Obverse legend seems to be blundered and the gilding causes the details to be indistinct. See North 1473 probably.
