An incomplete Medieval silver sterling imitation Edwardian coin of Gui de Dampierre, Count of Flanders (AD 1280-1305), minted at Alost (modern Aalst, Belgium) dating to AD 1288-1292. The obverse shows a double headed eagle while the reverse has a long cross, voided, with three pellets in each angle. Mayhew, N. J. 1983. Sterling Imitations of Edwardian Type, ref. 1. The coin has a small chip between 12 and 1 o'clock as seen on the reverse.
