An early medieval silver sceat, Primary Phase, Series D type 2c (Op Den Velde & Metcalf variety 3c). The left-facing bust with oversize crown differs from the standard type 2c issues which are right-facing busts. Variety 3c has been interpreted as an English imitation of the original Frisian coins.

A silver sceat of early-medieval (Anglo-Saxon) date. This coin, which is of the Secondary English phase (AD c.710-760), is most closely paralleled with Series K, type 18, no. K355 (see Abramson, 2006, p. 80). It is slightly worn and measures 11.6mm in diameter by 1.4mm thick. The weight is 1.07g.

A slightly worn and corroded 8th-century silver early-medieval sceatta of Series H, type 49 var., struck in Hamwic (modern-day Southampton) (North 103 var.; Abramson 2006, 54-55; EMC 2008.0388) This coin is closest to variety 1a of Type 49, described as an 'early variant' (Andrews ed. 1988, 41; refs. 35-37) but features a pecking bird in the centre of the reverse within nine roundels instead of a 'Woden' head within ten.

Copper-alloy copy, probably contemporary, of a 'Saroaldo' sceat, type 11. Metcalf Vol 1. p.147-151, No.151. Date: c.695-710. The name comes from the reverse where there are supposed to be psudo letters read as an assumed moneyer 'Saroaldo' running around the saltire in standard, now illegible. The coin is 11.9mm in diameter, 1.4mm in thickness and weighs 1g.

A silver Anglo-Saxon Primary Phase sceat; probable contemporary imitation Series B combining an obverse die derived from Series BX with a reverse loosely based upon Series B. Dr. Martin Allen (Fitzwilliam Museum) notes that the form of the cross and extra annulets around it are unlike any regular coin from Series B. Similar to British Museum types 26-27a-b.
