A silver voided long cross cut halfpenny of Henry III dating to AD 1248-1250 (Class 3). Obverse depicts two curls with pellets in the centre of each and a part of a crown comprising a band with a pellet at the end and a trefoil cross in the centre. There is no evidence of a sceptre. Reverse depicts a voided long cross with three pellets in each quarter. Uncertain moneyer and mint (it may possibly be Roger of Newcastle). North 985-988 (North, JJ, 1980, English Hammered Coinage Volume 1, Spink & Son, London, p 182, nos 985-988).
