A contemporary copy of a Roman copper alloy and silver plated denarius copying Tiberius (AD 14-37) Reece Period 1. PONTIF MAXIM Reverse type depicting female figure seated right, holding sceptre and branch. Mint of 'Lugdunum'. RIC I, p. 95, cf. 30. The coin is damaged and the copper alloy core is visible where the silver plate has been damaged.

A silver Roman denarius of Domitian, minted in Rome in 88-89 AD. The reverse depicts Minerva walking right, though as the legend is illegible precise identification of an RIC number is problematic. The coin suffers from some wear and damage.

A struck/ hammered silver denarius of Augustus, minted in Lugdunum (Lyon) between 11-10 BC (diameter: 16.9mm; thickness: 1.6mm; weight: 3.06g). The coin is slightly worn but in a fair condition with much of the detail surviving.

Roman silver denarius of Augustus, with reverse showing his grandson's Gaius and Lucius. Struck at the mint of Lugdunum (Lyons) between 7 BC and AD 14. (diameter: 19.2mm; thickness: 1.3mm; weight: 3.66g). The obverse is worn but still has a clear inscription. There are scratches showing deliberate marking, but the reason for this is unknown.
