A complete silver hammered penny of Edward I (1272-1307) or Edward II (1307-1327). The coin is probably an Edward II Class 10 dating from AD1300-1310. The mint is London. The obverse shows a forward facing crowned bust. The crown is trifoliate. The bust has short hair and triangular drapery. Obverse legend reads EDWAR ANGL DNS hYB. The reverse shows a long cross with three pellets in each quadrant. Reverse inscription reads CIVI/TAS/LON/DON. Diameter: 18.45mm. Thickness: 0.67mm. Weight: 1.3g. Die axis: 5 o'clock.

A medieval silver hammered coin (North 1043/1), an Edward II mule class 10 cf5b (due to the small nick in the letter D, the style of the A, the S having a pellet centre, and the hair style being Mayfield. Also the hook on the left side fleur looks like it has been re-cut which is a characteristic of cf5b).
