Silver long cross penny, probably of Henry IV (1399-1413) or Henry V (1413-1422) which has been bent and worn so that the ruler cannot be made out, but from the positioning of the few faint letters on the obverse and the style of the lettering that survives on the reverse, with fishtail serifs, it is likely to be Henry IV or V, London mint.

A complete Medieval struck/hammered silver Henry VI half penny, dating to 1453, North Vol2, page 76. The coin was minted in London, although there is an annulet next to the crown. The obverse shows a bust facing forward with a narrow face and neck which has been slightly distorted. There is a saltire underneath the bust. Legend: HEN [RIC DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC] DNS [HYB]. The reverse shows a long cross dividing the legend, with 3 pellets in each quarter. Legend CIVI [TAS] LONDON. The coin is 13.61mm in diameter and weighs 0.37grams.
