A silver denarius of Carausius (AD 286-93) (Reece Period 14), VIRTVS SAEC C, Radiate lion advancing left. Mintmark: -//RSR; commonly attributed to London, but to be studied further. RIC V, pt 2 - . However, another coin with the same reverse type is recorded in the British Numismatic Journal Coin Register for 2000, p. 158, no. 31; it has a different obverse legend. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.
