[AD](VE)NTV[S AVG] reverse type depicting the Emperor on horseback left, raising hand and holding sceptre. Possibly RSR mint. Cf. RIC V.2, p. 508, no. 535ff. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.

Roman coin: a silver denarius of Carausius dating to AD 286 to 293 (Reece Period 14). RENOVA ROMAN reverse type depicting wolf and twins. Mintmark: -//RSR; commonly attributed to London, but to be studied further. RIC V, pt 2, p. 512, cf. no. 571. BNJ 2014 Coin Register p. 261, no. 21. It is not clear if there is a G at the end of the obverse legend. The Wolf and Twins reverse is one of the more common reverse types for silver denarii of Carausius, but this is only the second example with the legend RENOVA ROMAN that Sam Moorhead has seen.
