Mintmark probably S P // - ; Probably Mint of London. RIC V, pt 2 - . Although the exergue is unclear, the style of the coin does appear to be of the S P series; it is certainly an unpublished coin. This coin will feature in Sam Moorhead's new edition of RIC.

MONETA AVG, reverse type shows Moneta draped, standing left, holding scales in right hand and cornucopiae in left hand. -/-//XI. Probably Mint of London. There are only two other coins of Carausius known with the XI mintmark, one a Fortuna piece (cast of a coin in the BM Archives) and another possible Moneta piece (but with altar to left as well) in Hereford Museum.
