Roman reduced 'Q-Radiate' of Allectus, AD 293-296 (Reece Period 14), VIRTVS AVG, Galley right with mast, cabin, unclear crew and apparent animal head prow; apparently waves. Originally identifitied as Mint of London, QL. Although unclear, this is plausible. Pierced at 7.30, apparently for suspension. This coin has been included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.

Nummus of Constantine ?I, weighing 2.93g with a diameter of 23mm. ?London, AD 307-318 The coin is piereced with two holes 3.5 and 2.5mm in diameter, opposite each other on the circumference. The holes are elongated so that both overlap with the edge of the coin, thus leaving a 3mm long gap in the circumference. On the bust side, these holes are above and slightly to the side of the bust. On the reverse, they are at 11 and 5 o'clock with Sol standing between 12 and 6 o'clock. It seems likely the coin had a secondary use, perhaps to display Sol -if the piercing had been made at 12 o'cloc…
