Complete copper alloy Roman nummus of Constantine I (AD 306 - 337) dating to c.AD 307 - 318 (Reece period 15). The coin is sub-circular in plan. The obverse depicts the right-facing bust of Constantine. Only part of the legend on the obverse remains legible. It reads: ONSTANT. The reverse depicts Sol standing left holding whip and globe. There is a star to the left of Sol. Mint of Londinium. Again, only part of the legend remains legible. It reads: SOLI INVICTO COMITI. The coin is worn on both faces and is abraded around its edge.
