An incomplete medieval silver cut halfpenny of William I (AD 1066-1087). Canopy type (BMC iii) dating to 1070-1072. Minted at Ipswich by an uncertain moneyer (possibly Aegelwine or Aegelbriht). North (1994, 153) no. 843 Measurements: weight 0.6 g This coin has received a small loss at one end. The inscription is double struck around the reverse's initial mark.
