The sherd is a portion of the body, from a possible jar. It probably dates to the Medieval period.
The fabric is quite hard. It is has mid grey/brown coloured surface with a grey/brown coloured core, which is barely distinguishable from the surface. The exterior has an applied strip of decoration which has been pinched, forming a triangular shaped profile. There are frequent pink/white angular quartz inclusions. There maybe a tiny splash of green glaze on the interior, but this is not certain.
It weighs 15.27g. It is abraded.
