Jar with high shoulder and short upright rim. Eight sherds, representing most of the vessel. Hand-made. The fabric is flint-tempered and patchily fired. The form is reminiscent of beakers in fine reduced Upchurch-type ware which are dated to the later first century, but the similarity may be misleading, as hand-made, flint-tempered vessels generally are likely to be pre-conquest and certainly pre/early Flavian in date. Probably locally made.

One base sherd of grey-ware. The fabric of the sherd is a grey colour, with a dark brown coloured core. The inclusions vary in size and are a hard stone-like material. Fragments of the body remains, suggesting the vessel is a type of jar. The lower portions of the body are decorated with linear burnishing around the vessel, four rings are visible. The base of the sherd shows clearly where the wire has been used to remove the vessel from the wheel.
