Basal sherd from a samian ware bowl, probably Drag. 37. The mould-cast decorative scheme is zoned being divided into panels by vertical lines of pellets. The motifs used include vine leaves and tendrils together with what appear to be elongated pine cones. The base is of foot-ring type and is now damaged. In the centre of the foot-ring are turning marks and a deep incised line, cut before the slip was applied.

The sherd is a handle fragment of a possible jug. The fabric is hard, and has a light grey coloured core, and a cream coloured margins, and has a grey coloured surface which maybe a slip. There are traces of a mottled green/brown coloured glaze. The exteior surface of the handle has been decorated with a column of oblique slash marks which are between two vertical curved ridges. This handle dates to the Medieval period.

The sherd is a rim fragment of an a possible cooking pot. The fabric is tempered with occassional medium shell fragments and dark grey coloured grit. TThe rim is a horizontal lip which forms a '¬' shaped profile. The fabric is a dark grey coloured core and red/orange coloured surfaces. The fabric may have been wheel made, and is possibly dated to the Roman to Medieval periods.

The object is the leg/foot of a cooking vessel. The leg is cast copper alloy. In plan it is an inverted sub-triangle. The widest edge is the upper broken edge, but it is not a recent break. In length the leg is 34.4mm long, 40.6mm wide and 12.9mm thick. In section (horizontal section) the leg is a sub-oval shape which has a triangular sectioned vertical ridge on the exterior surface. The exterior has an applied strip of decoration which has been pinched, forming a triangular shaped profile. There are frequent pink/white angular quartz inclusions. There maybe a tiny splash of green glaze on the interior, but this is not certain. It weighs 15.27g. It is abraded.

The glaze is on the upper surface and one side. It is a mottled green/brown colour. The sherd weighs 97.88g.
