Description: The object is broadly 'axe-shaped' with a sub-circular terminal that tapers to a flat rectangular cross section. This was likely achieved by cutting and hammering. A gold later medieval or early post medieval gem-set ring with a square or box bezel. The bezel is set into the hoop and is 4.2mm wide.
