A curved flint blade of probable Bronze Age date, 53.8mm in length and struck from a secondary flake of grey flint. The distal end has been worked into a triangular point with short semi-abrupt retouch on both sides. The flake has cortex on both faces at the proximal end suggesting that it derived from a nodule with a thick cortical layer.

A small flint tabular bladelet core of later prehistoric / Bronze Age date struck from a grey flint with white patination / re-cortication from deposition in calcareous sediments. There appears to be a single striking platform, with parallel removal scars around approximately half of the circumference. Some of these are partially patinated and some break the patination, suggesting several phases of use and re-use.

Pale grey flint debitage fragment. A narrow straight-sided flake with long narrow flakes struck from its dorsal side and with an undulating ventral surface; a white patina has developed over struck surfaces suggesting the object has endured exposure to a calcareous environment. Chips a either end reveal the original tint of the flint, which is probably from the Lincolnshire Wolds. Dark grey-brown flint blade. A thick sub-triangular flake with broad flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a bulbar ventral surface with smaller flakes struck by hard hammer working from the ventral aspect. Very short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows one long straight edge, possibly forming a knife on whose cutting edge pressure might be brought to bear with the user’s thumb resting in the dorsal concave surface. A large flint blade core of later mesolithic date with a single striking platform, struck from a dark brown flint. The core is triangular in shape with parallel removal scars around half of its circumference. A patch of grey-brown cortex remains down one side. The other has a single large removal scar with battering damage and small flaked removals around the edge, running off it one side perpendicular to the striking platform and partially overlying it. This suggests a secondary use for the core, possibly as a hammer.

A complete flint Scraper of Neolithic date (3450-2100 BC). The lithic is sub-ovate in plan and bi-convex in section. The proximal end retains some cortex while the distal edge is curved. All edges with the exception of the proximal end have fine semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is slightly convex with six negative scars and corresponding arises. The lithic retains some cortex and is therefore a secondary flake. The flint is dark/light grey in colour, the cortex is light brown in colour. A complete knapped lithic implement of Neolithic date, circa 4000 - 2300 BC. The object is formed from a tertiary flake which is sub-ovate in plan and D-shaped in section. The ventral surface is flat and smooth. Short, stepped, semi-abrupt retouch is present along the curved edge and into each side of the dorsal surface. The flint is a light white colour with grey inclusions. The implement is 28.4mm long, 19.6mm wide, 10.8mm thick and weighs 5.7g. Scrapers are fairly ubiquitous throughout prehistory and are generally less chronologically distinctive than other artefact types.…
