A complete, post medieval pipe clay wig curler dating AD 1650-1800. It is cylindrical with a narrowed centre flaring out towards bulbous, biconical terminals, which taper to flattened circular ends. There are stamped marks on the indented circular ends, with a raised edge around them, but they are illegible. A Post Medieval pottery base from a German Whiteware: Polychrome bird whistle (1575-1625). The fabric is fine buff with a glossy brown, green and yellow lead-glaze, usually with the brown glaze representing the wings and eyes which are further accentuated by scored outlines. Only the base of the whistle is present in this case but originally the body of the bird would have been in the form of a small splayed footed pot with the head and whistle-tube applied. A late Medieval - early Post Medieval pottery fragment from a Low Countries white ware bird-shaped whistle dating 15th - 16th century. The fragment includes the mouth-piece of the whistle which may have also formed the tail of the bird. The fabric is buff-coloured with a pale lemon glaze. Central hole off-centre, 5mm diameter with three 'radiating' impressed lines. Sound-hole 23mm from end, 9 x 3mm. Mouth hole 4 x 2 mm. Produces a high pitched sound. Late medieval to post-medieval.

Ceramic bird whistle or flute dating from the Victorian period, probably 19th century. The whistle is almost complete. It is in the shape of a bird, but the head and feet and part of the tail are missing. It has a hollow body but a solid neck. There are sound holes in the bottom, the back and one at the front. The whistle/flute was made from brown glazed red earthenware.

A fragment of a post medieval pipe clay whistle in the Saintonge style. The fragment contains the irregular quatrefoil base of the whistle with a broken cylindrical projection which would have been a form of handle. On top of the quatrefoil the ring shaped body of the whistle is left as a small stump; the centre of the whistle is hollow. This area would have been filled with water to produce the whistle noise. A worn and incomplete clay loom weight dating to the Roman or early-medieval periods. It would have been attached to threads on a loom to keep them hanging straight. The weight is of a dusty orange colour. On both faces there is a raised border around its slightly off-centre circular perforation. The loom weight has suffered substantial losses around its circumference as a result of old damage.
