Description: The matrix is pointed oval in plan with an engraved front and a moulded reverse with a now squashed pierced lug. The front is engraved with a stylised fleur-de-lis. This is surrounded by a legend which starts at twelve o'clock and runs retrograde (anti-clockwise) around the die face reading '+ S' mATILDIS FAIRWAT[...]'. A complete Medieval lead seal matrix dating to c.1200-1350 AD of a circular flat design, with a pierced lug on the reverse. It is a personal seal matrix for a woman. The central design is of a human face with a branch to the right side of the face. The face appears to be of a female. The inscription reads S': MIRIEL : TOPIS, which could be another form of the femine name Muriel, and Jopis a surname of Isreali origin.

A heavily corroded lead pointed-oval or vesica-shaped seal matrix. The declaration in the centre of the face and the surrounding inscription are obscured by corrosion. On the reverse is a branch style decoration consisting of three raised chevrons intersected by a central ridge, at one end is a rearward projecting tab.

An incomplete Medieval lead vesica shaped seal matrix dating to c.1200-1400.
Approximately half of the seal remains, comprising of a pointed oval flat plate, with a raised rib on the reverse as a 'finger-pinch' handle. The central motif is uncertain, possibly an arched doorway. A single scribed line separates the motif from the mainly illegible outer inscription that appears to read : S'IOh [ ... ]. The reverse is plain.

A Medieval illegible lead seal matrix dating from AD 1200 -1400. It is a pointed oval shape and is worn and flaking. The central design is also unclear; it looks like a central zigzag line. The back of the matrix is decorated with three raised irregular zigzag lines and there is an incomplete handle lug at one end.
Measurements are; length 30.9mm, width 18.9mm, thickness 5.1mm and weight 8.92g. The surface is too fragile to take an impression.

An incomplete and probably unfinished, cast lead pointed oval seal matrix dating from the Medieval period, about AD 1200 - 1400. It is a pointed oval shape in plan (vesica shaped) with a short rectangular projection at one end. It appears to have been mis-cast as there is a strengthening rib on the reverse but no suspension loop or handle. The matrix face is uneven but does not appear to have been cut with any design or inscription. It is 37.2mm long, 20.9mm wide and 6mm thick. It weighs 19.6g.

A complete medieval circular, disc-shaped lead seal matrix. The reverse has a small circular knop in the centre and two adjacent knops to one side representing the remains of a small attachment loop.

A circular, lead probable pedestal seal matrix probably of Post-Medieval date, AD 1500 - 1700. The face has a six petalled flower in the centre in counter relief with the suggestion of an inscription around it, but this is illegible. The reverse is convex with a series of etched lines from the outside to the centre stub of the matrix. The handle is incomplete. It has a dark grey patina and is 17.7mm in diameter and 10.7mm high. It weighs 7.6g.

Sub-circular and flat (now very 'crumpled' and edge chipped) The die-face central motif is a six petalled design surrounded by a scribed line circle that separates it from the incomplete inscription that reads: S' R AOVL - - - STOW (possibly RAOVL BRISTOW) The reverse is decorated with an uncertain moulding, possibly floral. An incomplete 'finger-pinch' handle projection is aligned at 12 o'clock to the die-face. The surface displays a drab grey colour.

A complete lead medieval oval- (or vessica-) shaped seal matrix. Around 50% of the original object survives with a rough, worn break across the inner end. Originally this would have been a flat, pointed-oval shape. The reverse has a longitudinal ridge across its centre, which may have developed into a suspension loop originally and some unclear pellet and line decoration surrounding this.
