A post medieval object of uncertain function, possibly a tag or label. The object comprises a copper alloy disc of 13.5mm diameter which on one side displays a crown and, on the other, a cypher of CR. The disc is held at the end of a rectangular piece of rusted iron 19.7mm in length, perhaps an attachment fitting.
The cypher suggests a potential attribution to the reigns of Charles I or II and a 17th century date.

Copper alloy tag. A tiny oval plate with a thin flat projecting tongue at one end, and the broken stub of a loop at the other.
