A cast copper-alloy object, probably a perfume flask or bottle of Medieval or later date. It is in two joining fragments due to post-depositional damage. The vessel is hollow cast and in the form of a parrot, with remains of a blackened substance probably resultant from the casting process visible in the hollow tail end. The parrot has relatively neat decoration highlighetd through incised lines and punched dots. A modern perfume bottle and stopper from the 19th or 20th century. This find cannot date to any earlier than this, because of the fact that a screw thread has been used to screw the stopper into the neck of the bottle. The bottle has been made from two plates of very thin copper-alloy, which have been joined together; the joint is evident on the side of the artefact. The lower end of the bottle has been damaged, resulting in the formation of a hole, where part of the copper-alloy plate has been pulled away from the other piece.
