Cast copper alloy Roman nail file. The suspension loop at the top has broken. The neck of the file is slightly curved before it straightens out for the main body. The neck has a square cross section and some incised decoration. The main part of the file has a rectangular cross section and narrows towards the end. One of the long sides is serrated to act as a file. This type of toilet instrument is quite unusual. One other which is quite similar is on the database as DENO-4DE2E5.
