A possibly Post-Medieval or probably Modern, copper-alloy composite hook and eye decorated plate.  A slightly convex, sub-triangular plate with floral decoration and a blunt hook formed from a length of bent copper-alloy bar that has been soldered to the rear of the plate. The hook is decorated with oblique transverse lines. The circular eye attachment on the rear of the plate also appears soldered and protrudes at right angles to the plate. Probably a hook for domestic use, probably curtains or similar.  Height 24.5mm, width 18.4mm, thickness 1.7mm, weight 3.1g.

An unidentified, incomplete, copper alloy artefact, probably of Post Medieval date, in the form of a broken hook. It is a rod of circular cross-section. It is shaped like part of an oval, so it is U shaped at one end. The shorter end tapers to a blunt hook. The longer end is broken across a void in the centre, perhaps a casting flaw.  It is 36mm long, 17.3mm wide and 6.3mm in diameter. It weighs 10.6g. Compare SUSS-3A028E.

The object has a flower shaped terminal, consisting of a central circular pellet with dot decoration and then three borders of six radiating sub-triangular petals (18 in total). The reverse of the terminal is flat and undecorated. A late Post-medieval-early Modern cast copper alloy belt hanger or cloak hook, c.AD 1750-1900. This is a cast hook with openwork decoration and two parallel attachment holes. The decoration is shaped like an upside-down heart with back-to-back crescents running through the centre. The hook itself is large and blunted, and appears designed to hold weight. The obverse edges are bevelled and the reverse is flat and plain. The surface appears tinned or silvered.

This has curved bend over c.100 degrees before it ends in a ragged transverse break. A copper alloy hooked ring probably dating from AD 1350 - 1400. It is a sub-circular ring roughly D shaped cross-section. Projecting from one edge is a hook which has a shaft of sub-hexagonal cross-section, and which tapers to a sharp hook which is bent to the side. The object is 34.6mm long,16.9mm wide, 2.8mm thick and weighs 2.51g. Compare examples on page 62 and 64 of Egan (1998) which are possible curtain hooks. They mostly date from AD 1350 - 1400.
