A complete, copper alloy early medieval (Anglo Saxon) drinking horn terminal. The terminal is hollow and circular in plan with an internal attachment bar stretching across the diameter of the opening. The terminal tapers slightly from a thick collar at the opening to a narrower collar at the head - the edges of this section are faceted (6 sides, possibly more). A cast copper alloy terminal, probably from a drinking horn, in the form of a bird's head. The item is triangular in plan, tapering to a hooked point which forms the 'beak'. The beak features a moulded ridge running the length and defining the upper and lower beak. It is curving in profile, both upwards and slightly to one side, measuring 62.04mm in length and weighing 21.95g. An Anglo-Scandinavian cast copper-alloy terminal probably from a drinking horn dating to the eleventh century. The terminal has a hollow conical socket with three rivet holes at the attachment end. The socket is ribbed. At the top of the socket is an integral animal head shown in three dimension. The head is large, solid and in the form of a mythical creature, most likely a dragon. An Iron Age probable drinking horn mount. The mount is incomplete and cast copper-alloy, it measures 78.24mm in total length. It consists of a curving hollow shaft or socket, which has a flaring open terminal and at its other end a bovine head. Gilt copper alloy terminal from an Anglo-Saxon drinking horn. The terminal is oval in cross section and roughly rectangular in plan, slightly tapering to a scroll-like tip. At the attachment end the terminal splays into three arms, one of which has a rivet hole however the other two are incomplete. Just before the splayed arms the mount has a deep channel running around the body with two smaller bands to either side. The channel and the bands have been gilded.
