A copper alloy fragment of a blade, probably a dagger or rapier, dating to the late Bronze Age (c.1200-800 BC). The fragment is sub-rectangular in plan and narrows slightly to one end. It has a shallow lentoid cross-section. At the mid point, the blade tapers towards the cutting edge at each side. Each end terminates with a break that is worn and patinated, which suggests it was broken in antiquity. The surface is smooth with a dark brown patina. A cast copper alloy dagger pommel of likely late or post-medieval date (1400-1700). The pommel is a rounded sub-trapizoidal in shape and hollow. The socket is oval (9.86mm) from which the sides flare out before rounding with a smaller hole (4.77mm) at the opposite end. On each side there is a central groove from which two other grooves eminate from the socket either side, giving a feather effect. Similar to Oakeshott type T. A late Middle to early Late Bronze Age (1500 - 1100 BC) copper alloy dirk. The butt is oval in form with shoulders that curve inwards to the narrow blade. Two rivet holes to the bottom of either side would secure the hilt in place, both of which are now truncated with only the top of the hole remaining. The cross-section of the blade is oval with sides that gradually taper to the point.
