A copper-alloy terminal and loop possibly for securing a handle possibly for a Medieval chest or vessel dating from 14th to 15th century. Thought to have been originally attached to a small chest or cask using a metal plate. Form is an oval shaped loop 37.53mm long, 27.11mm wide with a central hole 19.12mm long, 13.79mm wide. The loop is 8.26mm thick and has a flat end, splayed outwards to form a face with the metal plate. A similar example is Illustrated by Bailey (1995,10)
