The School Of Musketry was originally established in 1853. In 1861 the War Department purchased the North Euston Hotel in Fleetwood to be used as a School Of Musketry for officers. It was relocated in 1867 when the building reverted to its original use.

Copper alloy
Possible button front. A disc of copper alloy sheet, folded, and recently unclenched; scratches on the surface also appear to relate to this presumably recent damage. The finder suggests this may be a coin, but there is no discernible trace of stamped legend. Traces of black degraded organic material occur on what would have been the inner surface of the object when it was folded. Suggested date: Post-Medieval: 1500-1700.
Diameter: 20.51mm, Thickness: 0.67mm, Weight: 1.12gms.
