An incomplete copper-alloy flat enamelled disc brooch dating to 80-250 AD. It is missing it's pin, catchplate and is worn around the edge. It would have been enamelled, with eight peripheral lugs. The eight equidistantly spaced flat circular lugs around the flat perimter plate have a six petalled flower design, which reflects the central deisgn on the plate. One of the lugs appears to have been pierced potentially as a chain loop.  Similar examples can be seen in Mackreth, 2011 pg 110, plate 108, 11180. Diameter:27.33mm Thickness: 2.09mm Weight: 3.69g
