Part of a cast copper alloy Roman belt slide. This would originally have been rectangular in plan with a rectangular attachment loop on each end. Around half now remains, one end, with one loop. The front is decorated with intergally cast decoration leaving hollows for enamel. At the end are two circular dots each with a concentric circle inside, with different coloured enamel. Next, in the middle is a triangular hole. The slide is then broken, unevenly and the other half is missing. Cast copper alloy belt slider dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is symmetrical and flat with a circular sectioned integral slider. The object is decorated with a series of transverse ridges and has been tinned. The object is badly corroded and has a mid-grey patina.

Complete cast copper alloy belt slide with enamelled decoration. Two symetrical tear-drop shaped plates with a raised central circular boss in the centre of each. The bosses are split into four quarters by a thick cross. The quarters contain red enamel. The pointed tips of the tear-drops are thicker than the rest of the object, giving them a raised effect. The reverse is flat and plain. The suspension loop is square in section and is 31mm long and 6mm wide.
