Though the coins appear to date from the 16th and 17th century, the box is more likely to be 19th century. The box appears to have a serrated cutter or grater mounted to the lid, and was perhaps a personal tobacco mill. It would therefore appear that the coins were put in the box for safekeeping in the 19th or 20th century, and are thus not Treasure.
