Outwardly curving, cast copper alloy, hook and integral, rebated attachment plate. Only a triangular-shaped fragment of the attachment plate survives. No evidence for either fixing holes or intact rivets remain on the attachment plate fragment. The original surface has largely been removed by harsh cleaning. Stamped copper alloy (bronze or brass) buckle of sub-rectangular shape with a wide frame. The frame is decorated with stamped impressions of small tokens which imitate ancient coins. There are four types of token/coin impression including: a pious pelican, a horse and rider, a male classical bust looking right and a female classical bust looking left. Copper alloy (probably brass) cylindrical weight with a copper alloy (probably brass) suspension loop. The base of the weight is apparently filled with a lead, or lead alloy, plug. The top of the weight and the suspension loop are encrusted with concreted estuarine deposits. Possibly for use with a steelyard. Twentieth century. Height 41mm.

Cast copper alloy padlock case (length 23mm, maximum width 19.5mm, depth 14mm) with a circular body, and a short, rectangular-sectioned arm, or tab, connected to a fixed tapering circular-sectioned bar, or bolt (length 24mm). The rectangular-shaped key aperture is relatively large (height 7mm, width 6mm) and curves back into a transverse slot at its base to allow the key to be manipulated into the interior of the padlock which is T-shaped in profile. Cast copper alloy harness ring with attached circular stud. The harness ring is circular in section and the front of the stud is slightly dished. Much of the original surface of the harness ring is lost and the remainder is partially covered with ferrous corrosion products. External diameter of ring 31mm, internal diameter 20.5mm, diameter of stud 20mm, weight 20.4grams. Early Roman in date. Tow comparable studs have been recovered from pre-Flavian contexts during excavations of the Roman fortress in Usk, Monmouthshire (Manning, Price and Webster 1995, 40, nos.8-9, fig.14)

Fragment of a cast copper alloy two-piece trumpet brooch. Only part of the bow and head of the brooch survive; the spring, chord, pin, lower half of the bow and catch-plate are missing. The surface of the brooch is heavily corroded and much original surface detail has been lost. The reverse of the brooch's head contains the remains of a perforated lug, which would have presumably accommodated an axial bar. Fragment of a cast copper alloy two-piece head stud brooch with small fluted wings. Only the upper part of the bow and part of the hinged pin survive; the chain-loop, lower half of the bow and catch-plate are missing. The bow is decorated with a line of small recessed lozenges which presumably formed settings for enamel. The head stud is a simple raised pellet with a central boss. Surviving length 26mm. Mid first to second century in date.
