Medieval copper alloy English Sterling head allied jetton dating to AD 1300 to 1400. Kings head from non-coinage dies / cross moline with pellets in each quarter. Mernick type 6a.4/5. The punch mark has come through to the reverse but as th reverse has been struck off-centre the punch mark is off centre. There is a groove running from the punch mark on the obverse. Mernick, P. Post-medieval coin weight for the French ecu, square uniface weight with a design of a crowned shield with flat top and pointed bottom containing three fluer de lis, flanked by fluer de lis, one to each side, all within a plain line circular border. The weight has bevelled sides so the back is larger than the front. The weight is 13.2 by 13.7mm and 2.2mm thick and weighs 2.64g, 40.7 grains. The weight appears to be for a French ecu, it is very underweight for this (the coin weighs 3.50grams) but too heavy for the half ecu. The ecu was issued form 1423-1474 but continued to be current …

A Post-Medieval copper alloy finger ring, probably dating to c. AD 1500-1800. The finger ring has a narrow, shallowly plano-convex hoop which expands into a sub-rectangular bezel. The bezel is stamped with a design depicting an expanding, equal armed cross within a beaded border, flanked by a five-petalled rosette stamped on either shoulder. The hoop of the ring has been deformed by post-depositional damage. Dimensions: length 21.9mm; width 7.5mm; thickness 1.1mm; weight 1.27g. cf. similar finger rings on this database: ESS-038111, KENT-1F0E36, SWYOR-C83064.

Copper alloy square frame with sub-rectangular sides that have expanded circular terminal. The forwarded edge is moulded into a baluster form which narrows ends and an expanded mid section, at the rear is the narrowed strap bar. Wrapped around the strapbar is a sheet copper alloy buckle plate that has been folded in two with a shot in the centre for the pin, the pin is also made of copper alloy. There are two rivets at the rear of the plate for attachment.
