A complete copper alloy token of Modern date (AD 1876). The object is a check token for the London and Newcastle Tea Company. These tokens would be given out with the purchase of tea from the company and could be collected in order to claim a "present" such as a mug or set of egg cups. A complete copper alloy nail of Modern date (AD 1700-1800). The nail has a large circular convex head, and a square sectioned shaft projecting centrally from the underside, which tapers to a point. The metal is green in colour with a pitted patina. Diameter (of Head): 23.04mm, Length: 43.82mm, Width (of Shaft): 6.01mm, Thickness (of Head): 5.55mm, Weight: 14.40g.

An incomplete copper alloy shoe buckle of Post-Medieval date (AD 1720-1790). The object is concave in section and ovate in plan. The frame is composed of two parallel ovate frames which join at eight points which gives the overall appearance of openwork decoration. The frame has an integral decoration of molded foliage at the points at which the two frame aspects meet. Between the foliage, on both frames, is a repeating pellet decoration. An incomplete copper alloy heraldic horse harness pendant of Medieval date (AD 1250-1550). The pendant is shield shaped in profile with an integral, partially retained suspension loop projecting from the middle of the upper edge. The face of the object retains minor traces of red enamel and the heavily abraded heraldic decoration probably of three passant lions. The reverse is undecorated. The lower tapering end has a minor portion missing and the majority of the suspension loop is also missing due to old, abraded breaks. The metal is a dark brown in colour. Similar examples…

A cast copper-alloy trumpet brooch of the early Roman period, c. AD 75-200. Only the head of the brooch remains with a cast integral lug and missing headloop, for which the base is still visible. The lug retains the spring of the pin, consisting of eight coils around a central axel. The head has broken from the bow as it emerges from the head. The object has an even patina, but is notable for its size, being at the larger end of the spectrum for this type of brooch.

A cast copper-alloy water pistol toy of later 19th or early 20th century date. The object takes the form of a revolver or 'six-shooter' handgun, missing the sqeezable balloon handle. The attachment for the handle is a projecting disc that would have fitted into a socket. The gun is not an exact replica in miniature, however, as there is no trigger or trigger guard, hammer or sight at the end of the barrel. The end of the barrel of worn and slightly rounded and appears solid. Flashmarks are visible along the upper and lower faces around the perimeter of the object.

A copper alloy openwork mount with loop, dating to the post-medieval period. It is flat, openwork and lozengiform in shape. A circular loop extends from the apex. The centre of the object is decorated with a lozengiform moulding. On the underside, the central moulding is hollow and there appear to be four attachment lugs, one at each corner of the object. A crude copper alloy figurine of Christ, presumably originally attached to a wooden crucifix. It is difficult to date the figurine but it is possible that it is medieval in date. The figurine is cast; the torso is long and almost rectangular in section; the sides of the torso are horizontally grooved, perhaps to represent ribs; at the base of the torso, there is a rectangular moulding representing a loin cloth; this is diagonally grooved. A copper alloy finger ring, dating to the later medieval period. The hoop is rectangular in section and is decorated with diagonal ribs and incised decoration. There is a small circular bezel set with a small, circular turquoise glass gem. The gem has a convex upper surface. The hoop has a diameter of 18.47mm and a width of 2.96mm. A fragment of a late Iron Age or early Roman copper alloy terret. It consists of a small part of a circular section hoop, measuring 10.23mm in diameter. Attached at the narrow bar is a rectangular plate with ? circular cells each containing red enamel. The plate has a width of 25.83mm. On the underside of the plate is a rectangular attachment loop.
