Copper alloy tweezers. Cast tweezers with thin arms with textured upper ends, of thickness 1.3mm, and flattened towards the ends of the arms [here of thickness 1mm], which are rounded. The handle is bent tightly to form a top loop, and retains tensile strength. The lower thinner arms are now bent and curled together. Suggested date: Unknown, Roman to Medieval, 43-1500. The sheet is plain here, but on the other side it exhibits a slightly concavo-convex swelling and has finely incised linear borders, suggesting this to be a display face. In the form of a three-dimensional acorn with a small central boss at the top, in a naturalistic cup, mounted in turn on a round integral pedestal with concave sides of 7mm dia at the midpoint and a wider (11.9mm dia.) base with a small (8.2mm dia.) round projection which terminates in an old break. It may possibly be a part of a harness fitting. The outer diameter is 28.1mm, width is 4.2 and thickness 3.3mm, and it weighs 4.2g. The object is incomplete and consists of an integral circular suspension loop sitting at the apex of a sub triangular plate. This curves slightly and it may be the top of an elongated medieval harness pendant or perhaps part of Roman toilet implement. The objects surface is very corroded and it is hard to place.

An incomplete, copper alloy possible toilet article, perhaps a toilet spoon of uncertain date, Roman to Post Medieval, about AD 43 - 1800. The object has a shaft of ircular section, about 3mm diameter. One end is broken. the other end flattens and widens to form a thin, flat spatulate terminal, perhaps once a shallow spoon bowl. There is a sharp bent in the rod near the broken end, creating an angle of about 130 degress. The flattned terminal is also slightly bent from the line of the shaft - perhaps intentionally. From the centre of this extends a D-shaped loop (6.1x3.4x2.7mm) with a circular perforation at the centre, 1.6mm in diameter.
