Copper alloy finger ring. Cast penannular band, tapering to opposed points opposite the bezel, which comprises a moulded bar with five small pits for inset glass stones [lost]. A moulded V appears at each shoulder. Probably a ‘fairing’ or item of trinket jewellery. A small, domed copper alloy button with a hollow back, into which the shank, which is broken, is fixed. The face is decorated with a moulded, regular floral design, and has been gilded. The makers name is moulded around the edge on the rear of the button. A central motif depicts the upper half of a facing figure with wild hair and a short-sleeved garment with its right arm raised, indeterminate objects lie to lower left. An inner circle separates the motif from a three-word circumferential legend: COUNTY FIRE OFFICE – the central word is less clear than the others. A drawn wire loop is brazed to the plain back. Copper alloy boot fragment. A flat cast and probably pressed metal curved component, flanged on the inner side of its curve, probably from the heel of a work boot with metal inserts or attachments. This interpretation is suggested by the form, and by four drilled holes of diameter 2.5mm equidistantly distributed along the flange, which would have enabled the object to be incorporated into the layers of a stitched sole. A rectangular sheet metal plate with a series of closely spaced [8 per cm] fine grooves of length 15mm extending from one straight edge, and with faint traces of grooves and a split in the opposite side. An incomplete post medieval copper alloy double loop oval buckle dating between AD 1550-1650 The frame is roughly oval in plan and D-shaped in cross section, with concave long sides with a projecting knop at either end of the pin bar. The outside edges of each loop also expand into a pointed knop, the internal outside edges are also slightly expanded creating a kidney shaped aperture. A post-Medieval cast copper alloy spur hook. The object has a narrow hooked arm to attach to an eye of the spur terminal, with flanking lobes half way down and a lozengiform rear terminal. This is drilled to take a rivet with a domed and teardrop-shaped head acting as an integral rove to attach to the leathers. Circa 16th-17th century.

An incomplete copper-alloy rowel spur of Post-Medieval date, c.1600 – 1800AD. The spur consists of an ovate sectioned neck which splits to one end forming the rowel box. The rowel is now missing. The curved arms with a D-shaped section. Both arms have been bent and distorted, but each terminate with a pair of button-headed rivets. The spur has a mid-green patina and is worn.
