An incomplete copper alloy Post Medieval rose orb jetton of anonymous issue, dating from AD 1500 - 1550. Unusual orb which is solid with a circular border as well as the double tressure. Fictitious legends. See Mitchiner number 1227 forwards (page 381). Minted at Nuremberg.
Measurements are; length 22.5mm, width 21.5mm, thickness (in its bent form) 1.8mm and weight 1.20g. The thickness of the metal is 0.7mm. part of the edge of the flan is missing.

A post medieval copper alloy anonymous issue Lion of St Mark jetton dating to c AD 1490-1585. The jetton is worn and slightly bent. Obverse has a fictitious legend +VENEVR [ ... ] and depicts the lion of Saint Mark standing left, nimbate and winged. His tail is raised and he holds the Book of Gospels in his raised right fore-paw. A post-medieval, copper alloy, Lion of St Mark type Nuremberg jetton of anonymous type, dating from AD 1500 - 1570 with an orb in tressure reverse and fictitious legends. It has two perforations diametrically opposite each other and close to the edge at each side of the orb and above and below the lion. The jetton is 27.3mm in diameter and 0.6mm thick. It weighs 2.35g. Mitchiner (1988) number 1113 forwards (page 362).

A complete worn and folded Post-Medieval copper alloy 'Venus penny' jetton dating from AD 1490-1550. The jetton has been folded in half between 2 and 8 o'clock as seen on the obverse obscuring the reverse.
Obverse description: Austro-Burgundian shield in five parts: Three Lis (Burgundy modern), 3 horizontal lines, paly, 3 oblique lines (Burgundy ancient), Brabant - lion rampant (Brabant), overall a lion rampant the Escutcheon of Flanders. Above Burgundian steel accosted by three flints (annulets).

A complete brass 'ship's penny' type jetton of post-medieval date, c. 1490-1550. Mitchiner type 1121.
The obverse depicts a profile of a sailing ship bearing a central mast and the inscription VOLGVE LA GALLE DE FRANCE. The reverse shows four fleur-de-lis ina lozenge with pelleted decoration outside with the inscription VIVE LE BON ROI DE FRANCE.
The jetton is in good condition, with a dark brown colouration and a slight green patina.
Dimensions: 28.8mm diameter, 0.9mm thickness, weighs 3g.
