An incomplete copper alloy Pax dating to the late Medieval to early Post Medieval period (c. AD 1300-1600). The object is shield-shaped and is formed in two parts. The scene on the face is an openwork depiction of the crucifixion of Christ with the haloed and robed Virgin Mary kneeling in prayer to the left and the haloed and robed St John looking up at Christ, also haloed, on the right. An incomplete copper alloy furniture decorative plaque or escutcheon of Post Medieval dating (AD 1500 to AD 1700). The plaque is flat. The front exhibits stamped or punched decoration. The reverse is undecorated and no signs of attachment spikes. The front has a large rounded main section, which has the stamped decoration, in the form of semi-circles or crescents. Fragment of a medieval or early post-medieval copper alloy plaque or monumental brass. The surviving fragment is a strip from the edge of what was probably a larger rectangular plaque decorated on both sides. One side contains lines of incised black-letter text, though only the first letter of each line survives. Four lines are visible, with perhaps the lower part a fifth at line visible at the very top of the fragment.The edge to the left of the text appears to be original. The lines read: ?
