The hoard consists of 13 complete Middle Bronze Age palstave axes. This report uses the numbering as found with the objects while packaged. Broadly there are two groups of very similarly formed axeheads and four further axeheads which care categorised separately. Specifically Axes  2, 5, 9 12 , are almost identical in form, while axe 13 is similar lacking only one decorative ridge feature. These are termed group A. The internal socket measures 26.1 mm by 23.4 mm. A single collar is present, 9.1 mm beneath the mouth. A loop is present on the side. In 2012 a Middle Bronze Age hoard was discovered while metal detecting on cultivated land. The find consists of 41 copper alloy objects split across two deposits or concentrations of finds, with a small number of finds found a short distance away. All the objects are of a similar typo-chronology and are likely to represent a single hoard comprised of 31 'ornaments', 8 'tools' and 4 'other' or unidentified objects.
