A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman brooch, possibly a headstud type. All that remains is part of the wings and bow. The brooch is T shaped, the wings are short, semi-circular in cross section. At the top of the bow is a raised moulding of an oval shape, beneath which are recessed rectangles before terminating in an old break. On the top of the wings is a stump, possibly for a chain loop.  Length: 20.42mm Width: 13.05mm Weight: 3.36g

An incomplete worn enamelled copper-alloy flat disc brooch dating to 80-250AD. A small disc, with the (now missing) pin mounted between two worn lugs. On the centre of the disc is a centrla reserved spot surrounded by a concave sided hexagon on whose cusps are small circles, and in the recesses are remains of blue enamel. A similar example can be seen in Mackreth, 2011, pg 108, plate 105, 11599 and 10656. Diameter: 17.03mm Weight: 1.47g

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy possible trumpet brooch dating to circa AD 75-175. All that remains is part of the bow, foot and catchplate. The foot is triangular in form, with a flat base, and a recessed triangle, which may have been enamelled. To the reverse are the remains of a catchplate. The central disc is knobbed, and has concentric circles design. Similar examples can be found in Mackreth, 2011, pg89, plate 86, 5587-5625. Length: 31.04mm Width: 14.51mm Weight: 3.68g

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy possible Headstud brooch dating to circa AD 75-200.  Only the wings and an upper fragment of the bow survives. The wings are short and rectangular in shape and sub-circular in cross section.  The bow is circular in cross-section. There is no visible decoration. It is possibly phallic in deisgn, of which paralells can be found in Mackreth, 2011, pg 127, plate 124, 7942.  Length: 30.70mm Width: 17.81mm Thickness: 13.36mm Weight: 18.30g

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman enamelled plate brooch. It is disc-shaped and its outer face is decorated with a raised ring around the outer edge and two smaller concentric raised rings in the centre. The three fields between these rings are decorated - from outside inwards - with a ring of red enamel, a ring of pale green enamel and missing enamel or uncertain colour in the centre. A complete Post Medieval copper-alloy signet ring dating to circa 1550-1800. It consists of an oval bezel and narrow hoop. The shoulders taper from the bezel to the hoop. The bezel is decorated with an incised sub-circular design inside which are three circular punched pellets. Atop the sub-circular motif are a series of inscribed dots. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman to Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) balance, dating to AD 43-700. It consists of an oval cross-sectioned bar, which tapers towards both ends. On the upper side of th centre of the bar there is a remainder of a circular loop; both ends have a circular loop although one of them is incomplete, and they are set parallel to the bar itself. A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman Crossbow brooch, dating to AD 220-370. It consists of part of the head and upper bow. The incomplete wings of the head are cylindrical and they still house the copper-alloy axis bar. The head has a central slot from which the loop of the pin can be hinged to the axis bar. The pin is largely missing apart from the aforementioned loop. The surviving wing is decorated with two transverse raised lines close to the outer end. A complete cast copper-alloy spur buckle dating to the Medieval period, c. 1250-1400. The buckle consists an oval single-looped frame with an integrally cast sub-triangular plate, which is now somewhat distorted. A small aperture in the front edge of the plate creating a strap-bar for a wound wire pin (still preserved in-situ). The front edge of the plate has two decorative transverse ridges, in the middle of which is an in-situ dome headed rive intended to secure the buckle/plate to a strap.
