A large fragment of Roman tegula tile. The thickness of the tile is 23mm. This fragment has a large overhanging lip which would have been used to join the tiles together, from back to front this lip measures 41mm.

Corner fragment of a glazed floor tile of early Post Medieval date, probably from the late 16th or 17th century. The maiolica floor tile has a tin glaze composed of a dark brown manganese design on a white background. The design is composed of circular brown interrupted arcs flanking a repeating leaf motif. The tile is likely to be a continental import, possibly from the Low Countries.

Approximately 80 roughly square tessera made of red Roman tile. Measuring from 32mm by 32mm and 20mm in depth to 26mm by 26mm square in size. Many have the remains of a creamy white mortar adhering to them still. These tesserae are Roman in date and were probably used for a coridoor, possibly within a Roman villa.
