Description: Anglo-Saxon gold and glass pendant dating to the 7th century. The pendant is approximately square with rounded corners, tapering very slightly from top to bottom. It has a gold backplate and an upright collar, and is set with glass in very poor condition, with only shattered fragments remaining. The collar is a plain strip of gold set at right angles to the backplate, with a well-hidden seam at the right-hand end of the suspension loop. Description: Gold Latin cross made with long arm uppermost. The cross is hollow and its structure complex. It is made up with one cruciform sheet, which extends into the suspension loop, acting as a base-plate. A single strip of gold, set on edge, is neatly soldered to this forming a cruciform cell. Treasure reference no. 2010 T685: A post-medieval gold finger-ring in the form of a garter with buckle and strap, the end looped over, with engraved foliate scroll on exterior. Inscribed inside: THOVGHE x SOROV x NOV x NOT x EVER x SO. The H and E of 'thoughe' are elided. The ring is probably late 16th or 17th century. For a similar early 17th century ring in the Victoria and Albert Museum collections, in the form of an enamelled garter, see Oman 'British Rings', London 1974, pl. 86A.

A gold, post-medieval, posy ring. The hoop is circular in plan with a minor amount of damage, and D-shaped in cross-section. The exterior bears lettering in relief while the interior bears inscribed letters. The exterior reads 'IN THE MY CHOYSE', with a pellet between each word, while the interior reads 'I DOO REIOYSE'. The exterior inscription begins with four leaf motifs and terminates with a pellet. The interior inscription terminates with what appears to be a sprig of foliage.

A gold Merovingian tremissis of the Nietap type (from Frisia), dating to circa 630-40. The coin is also recorded on the Early Medieval Coin Corpus, ref: EMC 2012.0128. Another Nietap type tremissis from Lincolnshire is recorded on the EMC, ref: 2012.0120, and another from the same site as the present coin is recorded as PAS ref. LIN-0B3EEB. 2011 T890 Circumstances of Discovery On 10th December 2011, while metal detecting on cultivated land in Ancaster, three gold rods fused together were found, the probable remains of a broken and melted down twisted wire torc of Middle Bronze Age date (c.1300-1150BC). A gold hexagonal brooch dating to the thirteenth century (Treasure reference number 2011 T623). The frame is hexagonal in plan and triangular in cross-section. The base is undecorated but the interior face is decorated with beading. A triple stranded gold penannular ring dating to the middle to late Bronze Age; Treasure reference number 2011 T580. Each strand is sub-circular in cross-section and soldered together.
