A gold fanam from India. This is probably of the 'English Kali' (otherwise known as the 'old Madras fanam') series and could date from AD 1630 up to the 20th century when copies have been made. 'The Kali fanam designs is based on the Vira Rajam fanam but now more resemble a goddess than the lion that was originally depicted. See H. Herrli, Gold Fanams, p. 75, nos. 3.06.01-7. This piece, at 0.34g, falls into the weight range for thses coins (0.33-0.36g).

A medieval gold 'stirrup' finger ring with blue gem stone setting dating from the mid 12th to 15th century AD. Description 2018 T758: a post-medieval gold posy ring. The hoop is circular, wide, and comprises a central convex band flanked above and below by an everted rim. The interior of the ring bears the inscription *THINKE*OF*ME*. The letters are all captial and serrifed. The hoop is slightly damaged, but otherwise is in excellent condition. Discussion The style of lettering is typical of the seventeenth-century. A similar inscription THINKE ON ME is seen on a ring now in the British Museum (AF.1383). Treasure reference 2017 T1054: a pellet of molten gold. The pellet is an irregular oval sphere. One side is smooth and rounded, while the other is more irregular. This may suggest that the gold had been poured into a pellet mould, such as those known for the production of coins in the late Iron Age. The weight of the globule is 5.4g, which equates to the mass of a typical late Iron Age gold stater. The band is rectangular in section and appears once to have been oval in plan, perhaps forming a ferrule or fitting from an object such as a pendant or a knife. Treasure reference 2017 T708: a medieval gold annular brooch. The frame is circular in plan and in section, and has a restriction for the pin. The pin is intact, and has a small decorative collar next to the terminal loop. The pin tapers to the terminal. The brooch is dated to the Medieval period, 13th to 14th centuries. Similar brooches have been taken through the Treasure Act (1996), for example 2010 T330 from the Isle of Wight, 2008 T124 from North Yorkshire, and 2015 T821 from Princethorpe, Warwickshire.
