Gold ring. The outer surface is plain and undecorated. The inner surface is rough and pitted. The ring is bent and the shape distorted. In its current condition it has an external measurement of 26.93mm by 21.10mm, and an internal measurement of 23.68mm by 17.16mm.

Treasure case 2009 T626 Description: Plain gold band; slightly misshapen. Flattened edges on the band indicate that this is a fitting rather that a finger-ring. There are no diagnostic features to this fitting and as such it is impossible to date. Dimensions: Diameter: 14mm. Thickness: 1mm. Weight: 1.2g Conclusion: Due to the undiagnostic nature of the find it cannot be securely dated to pre-1709 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996. Treasure 2008 T578: Gold ring The shape of this object suggests that this is more likely to be a decorative mount or fitting of some kind rather than a finger-ring. The flat lateral edge is incongruous for a finger-ring. It is slightly misshapen, and there are no diagnostic features to the fitting.
