Gold ornamental ring from Alcester, Warwickshire. This ring in the form of a thin flat band is decorated with a repeat punched geometric pattern. It has no parallels with any finger-ring in the British Museum collections and may be a decorative fitting of some kind. It is unlikely to be more than 300 years old and therefore it falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.
