Post Medieval gold locket, 21mm long, 14mm wide and 6mm thick. The locket is in fair condition with a pale yellow patina and weighs 2.10 grams. It is probably Victorian in date and has an oval form with a raised shield on one side, surrounded by foliate carving. It is interesting as it contains a lock of plaited black hair and was probably a mourning locket.
