Decorative gold mourning ring, slightly misshapen. The outer surface is engraved with a repeating floral (quatrefoil and larger flowers) pattern, inlaid in dark blue-black enamel. The inner face of the hoop is inscribed with the text: Tho ded I bee remember mee in italic script, followed by the initials (in capirtals) K.W and an isolated smaller capital D. There are slight traces of dark blue-black enamel in the lettering. Complete gold half sovereign of Edward VI in the name of Henry VIII with the initial mark of an arrow, issued posthumously under Edward VI 1547-1549. The band is D-shaped in cross-section. The outer band surface is plain, and the internal surface is engraved with the legend ‘x MY+HART+IS+YOVRS ++’ in seriffed Roman capitals.
