A hammered gold sheet of uncertain date. The sheet has a maximum length of 51.4mm, width of 39.3mm, 0.7mm thick and weighs 14.76g. The sheet is lacking any diagnostic features so the use and date cannot be determined. Small percussion marks on the surface indicate the sheet was intentionally flattened before being deposited, discarded, or lost.
Due to the uncertainty of the date, the object is not considered Treasure under the Treasure Act 1996.

An inscribed gold finger ring with decayed niello inlaid panels and central stone setting that has lost the stone. The ring dates to the late post-medieval period. It is inscribed with several dates 1738 on the exterior of the hoop and 1736 and 1740 on the interior. It is therefore not covered by either the Treasure Act (1996) or the Treasure Trove Laws as the ring is not more than 300 years old and that it cannot be proved to be buried with the intention of recovery. As such it has been recorded here by the PAS and returned to the finder.
The ringer ring is oval in plan and D shape…

Gold finger ring / 'posy ring' with incised inscription on interior face dated to the later post medieval period (c. 1650-1750 AD). The finger-ring is formed from a D shaped section hoop of gold, being broadly circular in plan (some distortion due to movement in the soil). The exterior of the ring is decorated with an incised design consisting of a floral repeating motif based on a flower stem. : A posy ring, subannular due to distortion. Cast D-shaped section. This ring has been cast with an alternating pattern of v-shaped chevrons and love-hearts, whereby the point of the heart sites within the inverted chevron to create the sense of a leaves and a bud resembling a flower somewhat like a crocus in form. The surface of the heart and the chevron are tooled to create cells, suggesting the ring might once have been enamelled. The internal band is inscribed in an italic script with: Thy virtue is thy honor.

A fragment of incised decorative plaque / band of gold probably dating from the late medieval period (1380 -1500 AD). The band is incomplete; it is incised with a motto and was probably attached to the base of a thimble or similar type of personal artefact. The band is rectangular in plan and cross section; in profile it is bowed. It seems that the band has been folded at least 6 times to form a small rectangle of gold which has subsequently been straightened to its present shape. Evidence for this folding is present in a series of creases; these are most obvious on the inner / revers…
