Description
Small complete gold posy ring with traces of ?red enamel. The narrow band of flattened D cross section is externally engraved with a floral wreath pattern, in four segments, each having a central stem and symmetrically opposed leaves. The inner face is engraved with legend
+ I · AM · EVER · ONE
in seriffed Roman capitals, with crosslets between words.
The hoop is misshapen, with an internal diameter of 17.8 x 16.4mm; band width 5.7mm; band thickness of 2.3mm; thickness 0.6-0.7mm; weight 1.35g.

Gold mourning ring, slightly bent out of shape in places. The exterior features a small inscription which takes the form of two small roughly circular impressions with a V shaped scratch between them enclosed in two bracket-like curves. Below this is another horizontal scratch punctuated with five tiny vertical scratches.
The inscription on the interior of the band reads J A of 25 July 98 aeta 37. This is followed by a makers mark; a P in a cartouche.

Gold mourning ring with stylized skull on outside of hoop. The hoop is of flattened D cross-section. The inner face of the hoop is inscribed with the text J. A. ob 25 July 98 aeta 37, in italic script (J. A. died 25th July ..98 aged 37).
Internal hoop diameter 19 mm; band width 2.9mm; band thickness 1 mm; weight 2.7g. The ring has not undergone any cleaning or conservation.

Medieval gold finger ring probably of late 13th to 14th century date
The finger ring is complete with a distorted, flattened hoop. The circumference of the hoop suggests the ring had a diameter of approximately 16mm. The hoop has a width of 1.5mm and a thickness of 0.8mm near the base and is of flat section. The shoulders are decorated with a punched lozenge motif containing a central punched pellet and separated by punched marks at both sides. Description
Decorative gold stirrup-shaped ring. It has a small bezel for an opaque light blue cabochon stone (?light blue sapphire) or glass (measuring 2x3mm), and a gold hoop of flattened oval cross-section. The internal hoop diameter is 18.5 mm (very slightly misshapen). Hoop width 1.5 mm; bezel width 2 mm. Weight 2.168g.
Metal Content
To judge from the colour and weight, and visual comparison with other gold rings and brooches in the collections of the Department of Archaeology & Numismatics, the item is gold (over 10%).
