A complete gold medieval gem-set finger ring. The bezel is oval in shape and holds an in situ dark blue gemstone setting. To either side of this there is a small wedge-shaped moulding, creating a stepped appearance in profile. The band is narrow and D-shaped in cross-section. This style dates to the 13th to 14th centuries (Egan and Pritchard 2002, 326. fig 215; Oman 1974, 18-20). Hoard consisting of two complete gold-plated cast penannular rings dating from the Middle to Late Bronze Age (c.1150-750 BC), and a probable Bronze Age (c. 1000 BC-750 BC) awl. The rings and awl were discovered within a few feet of each other. The penannular rings are in the shape of an oval-sectioned loop that tapers slightly towards the terminals. A solid-cast gold penannular ring, of 'D-shaped' section, with downward tapering gap between the opposing terminals. Traces of silvery stripes decorate the surface of the object. Discussion: Penannular rings with silver-rich banding are a well known artefact type of the Later Bronze Age, with recorded parallels including treasure cases 2005 T373 (Ely, Cambs) and 2005 T 422 (Englefield, West Berks). A gold posy ring. The outer hoop is plain and the finger-ring is D-shaped in section. The inner hoop bears a two line inscription in upper-case '+ REMEMBER HIM WHOM THIS DID GEVE/ WHO YELDES HIS HART WHILES HE DOTH LEVE'. This is an unusual inscription which is not in The British Museum's collection or in J. Evans, English Posies and Posy Rings, Oxford, 1931.

A gold finger ring, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. The damaged ring is of simple form, comprising a 'D-sectioned' band with no decoration on the outer face. The inner face bears the legend 'True love' and has three hallmarks: the right-facing bust of a king, the lion standard mark, the maker's mark 'I.P'. Dimensions: 20.4mm diameter, 2.1mm high.
